We interview and vet cleaners to ensure that we are able to provide a cleaner you will be happy with. However it is still important for you to establish a good relationship with your cleaner. A happy cleaner will do a better job and stay with you longer.
Here are our five top tips for getting the best from your cleaner:
1. Know exactly what you expect your cleaner to do – and make sure your cleaner knows too!
In preparation for your first clean, please take a little time to go through your home and think about what you would like your cleaner to do for each room. We have supplied a Task Sheet in your Welcome Pack to help you. Have the task sheet completed ready to show your cleaner on the day of your first clean. Also be sure to explain any special routines or cleaning methods you prefer clearly to your cleaner.
2. Provide good cleaning materials and equipment.
Your cleaner will work more efficiently if you provide suitable cleaning equipment and materials. Before your cleaners first visit please ensure that you vacuum cleaner is working well and that you have all required cleaning cloths, polishes and surface cleaners. If you would like some advice about what cleaning materials you need to provide please give us a call. We are can provide a pack of all the necessary materials of advice on any items you need to purchase.
3. Check you and your cleaner are on the same page!
Your cleaner will probably know how to use most of your materials and equipment, but every house is different and equipment and requirements vary from house to house. So please be sure to check that you and your cleaner agree on how and where to use any materials or equipment you provide.
4. Let the cleaner clean!
Once you are happy the cleaner understands your requirements please leave the cleaner to get on with the work!
5. Respect your cleaners time.
If you have to cancel a clean at short notice, or if your cleaner attends to clean but cannot gain access please pay your cleaner something for their time.
